John M. Whitt, DPM
Dr. John Whitt grew up in northeastern Nebraska. He attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska while he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Communication Studies. After graduating in 2010, he attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated in 2014 with a doctorate of podiatric medicine. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio with credentialing in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in June 2017. He entered practice with Family Foot Health Care, PLC in August 2017.
Dr. Whitt takes pride guiding patients through essential conservative treatments to the most extensive surgical reconstruction when appropriate. He enjoys working with all patients from youth to the elderly and the spontaneity of each encounter.
In his free time, Dr. Whitt strives to keep a tidy and collaborative household which includes his three young children, his labradoodle, and his “better half mastermind” Dr. Kathie Whitt. He is a sports enthusiast and plays golf and basketball when time allows.
Dr. Whitt is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS) with Forefoot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Whitt welcomes patients in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, Iowa. He has surgical privileges at Allen Memorial Hospital, Mercy One Waterloo, Waverly Health Center, Mercy One Cedar Falls, and Virginia Gay Hospital.
