Greg C. Lantz, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Lantz attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine prior to graduating Cum Laude from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at the VA, Leavenworth, Kansas, and Munson Army Hospital, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Dr. Lantz attended Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, for undergraduate studies.


He has been in private practice since 1980 with Family Foot Healthcare, PLC. He is a board-certified member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has recently recertified in foot and ankle surgery and has taken multiple courses for certification in four ankle replacement implants. Dr. Lantz is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been a member of the Health Policy Committee and Insurance Coding Committee of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is currently an executive board member at Allen Hospital and an adjunct Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University, Des Moines, Iowa. He serves as the director of the Covenant Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Waterloo, Iowa.


Dr. Lantz also practices at a satellite clinic in Waverly, Iowa, and is at this site on Tuesday and Friday mornings. He also has a satellite clinic in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where he sees patients on Monday mornings.  He has full surgical privileges at Allen Memorial Hospital, Covenant Medical Center, Waverly Health Center, and Sartori Hospital.


Dr. Lantz has been married to Susan since 1983. They have five children: David, Paul, Stephanie, John, and Annie, and have four grandchildren. Susan and Greg are long-time residents of Cedar Falls, Iowa.


Dr. Lantz enjoys gardening, fishing, and boating. He is also very active in confirmation classes and youth activities in his church.

Patrick J. Weires, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Weires was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1957. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School, Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1976 and from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1981. He attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his doctorate of podiatric medicine degree in 1985. Dr. Weires completed his residency in Chicago, IL, and has been in private practice with Family Foot Healthcare PLC in Waterloo, IA, since 1986.


Dr. Weires is a fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons and a member of the Iowa Podiatry Medical Society and American Podiatry Medical Association. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Podiatry Surgery. He is an adjunct assistant professor of podiatric medicine at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and has been an attending physician for the Covenant Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program since 1986.

Christopher J. Considine, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Considine grew up in both Iowa and Nebraska. After graduating from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, he attended medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. After four years of education in podiatric medicine, he chose to complete his surgical training at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Following a three-year surgical residency, Dr. Considine joined Family Foot Healthcare, PLC, and has been practicing since 2003. He is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatry Surgery. Dr. Considine continues to participate in the surgical residency program as an attending physician and has practice privileges at Covenant Medical Center, Allen Hospital, and Waverly Health Center. He sees patients in our Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Waverly offices.



Dr. Considine is married to his wife Susan, who is a high school teacher in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They are blessed with three children: Grace, Elise, and Jack. The Considine’s reside on an acreage outside of New Hartford, IA, and enjoy many outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, horseback riding, and church activities.

Kathie J. Whitt, DPM, MHA, FACFAS, FACFAOM

Dr. Whitt was born and raised on a farm outside of Manchester, Iowa. She attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she was an avid rugby player while obtaining her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in classics. After graduating in 2009, she attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated in 2013 with a doctorate in podiatric medicine and a master's degree in healthcare administration. She completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, with credentialing in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery in June 2016. She entered practice with Family Foot Health Care PLC, PLC, in August 2016. Dr. Whitt is welcoming patients at the Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Waverly offices. She has surgical privileges at Allen Memorial Hospital, Mercy One Waterloo Medical Center, Waverly Health Center, and Mercy One Cedar Falls.



Dr. Whitt is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine, as well as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Whitt is an attending physician with the Mercy One Medical Center Surgical Residency Program. She greatly enjoys giving back to her community as well as abroad. She has participated in two medical mission trips, including Haiti in 2010 and the Dominican Republic in 2016. During her missions, she has done clinical and surgical work with a focus on pediatric deformity correction. This is a passion she intends to continue in the future.


Along with her husband and children, Dr. Whitt resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, kickboxing, attending concerts, and working outdoors.

John M. Whitt, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. John Whitt grew up in northeastern Nebraska. He attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, while he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Communication Studies. After graduating in 2010, he attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated in 2014 with a doctorate in podiatric medicine. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, with credentialing in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in June 2017. He entered practice with Family Foot Health Care PLC, PLC, in August 2017.


Dr. Whitt takes pride in guiding patients through essential conservative treatments to the most extensive surgical reconstruction when appropriate. He enjoys working with all patients, from youth to the elderly, and the spontaneity of each encounter.


In his free time, Dr. Whitt strives to keep a tidy and collaborative household, which includes his three young children, his labradoodle, and his “better half mastermind,” Dr. Kathie Whitt. He is a sports enthusiast and plays golf and basketball when time allows.


Dr. Whitt is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS) with Forefoot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Whitt welcomes patients in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, Iowa. He has surgical privileges at Allen Memorial Hospital, Mercy One Waterloo, Waverly Health Center, Mercy One Cedar Falls, and Virginia Gay Hospital.
